At 2005 Westfield Drive, John and Janice Fedorko and their yard expert Richard Breaux have transformed their front yard into one of Grand Prairie’s most beloved Halloween and Christmas destinations.

What started in 2009 with a single clearance-sale carousel from Sears has grown into an epic seasonal showcase featuring over a hundred inflatables, hand-engineered rooftop spiders, and glowing yard displays that draw hundreds of families each year.

The neighbors share how their passion snowballed: late-night Walmart runs, post-holiday clearance hunts, and the ever-growing challenge of finding enough power outlets (and sometimes borrowing electricity from next door!). Their ingenuity includes welding custom mounts for rooftop decorations and creating lighting zones to balance visibility and power limits.

The Fedorkos estimate around 800 trick-or-treaters visit annually — many returning year after year, recognizing where every inflatable once stood. Beyond Halloween night, families stop by throughout October (and even on Christmas morning) to snap photos and enjoy the lights.

What drives them?

“It’s for the kids — their eyes get so big. That’s why we do it.”
